A very rare chair indeed! I don't know of any others in the UK.
Designed in 1956 by Bernard Goss for Pandar furniture of Australia.
Goss was a British designer who had emigrated to Australia in the early 1950s.
The chair is clearly influenced by Robin Day's reclining armchair of a few years earlier.
I'm not sure if the footstool is also by Goss/Pandar, but I'm told it was purchased at the same time.
The chair and footstool were recovered in the mid '80s, I was told the fabric was Herman Miller hopsack. 
Good condition, but with losses to the metal frame. The upholstery is good overall.
